I was thinking of making a cardigan out of a plain black wool but with some funky sleeves out of this yarn. Unfortunately, I was not digging the idea of a sweater. I just didn't feel the love.
After discussion with a friend of mine, I've decided to dive in and try Elizabeth Zimmermann's Pi R Squared shawl.
I'm not sure I'm worthy yet. I muddle along the best I can and most times, I get lucky and things turn out okay. I'm a bit nervous about this, however...Zimmermann is the pinnacle of knitting omnipresence.
I'm waiting to get the book Knitting Around from the library, to take a look at the directions/instructions. Then it will be trying to figure out what yarn to use with the Funky Fabulous handspun.

I know what you mean. I'm a bit scared of EZ too - and yet she'd be so upset if she knew. More than anything else she desired to show us just what we were capable of doing if we lost our nervousness.
So what's keeping you?
I'm just waiting for the book to arrive at the library...and hoping I don't psyche myself out when I read it!
